Account & Data Deletion Policy

At Clannerly, we firmly believe in giving users full ownership and sovereignty over their personal data. In compliance with Google Play Developer Policies, Apple App Store Review Guidelines, and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you can permanently delete your account and all associated records at any time.
Method 1: Instant In-App Deletion (Recommended)
You can permanently purge your account immediately directly from within the Clannerly mobile or web app:
- Open Clannerly and log into your account.
- Tap on your Profile tab in the bottom navigation.
- Select Settings & Privacy → Login & Security.
- Scroll down and tap Delete Account (marked in red).
- Confirm deletion. Your account, authentication credentials, and data are instantly wiped from our production database.
Method 2: Web & Email Deletion Request
If you have uninstalled the app or lost access to your device, you can submit a manual deletion request:
- Send an email to: kevinvdwelle1@gmail.com
- Subject line:
Account Deletion Request - Clannerly - Verification: The email must be sent directly from the email address registered with your Clannerly account so we can verify ownership.
Manual deletion requests are processed and confirmed within 48 hours.
What Data Is Permanently Purged
- Authentication Records: Firebase Auth credentials, UID, and secure tokens.
- Profile Information: Full name, email address, profile avatar, and dietary preferences.
- Club & Event Data: Memberships in clubs, potluck assignments, RSVPs, and event participation history.
- OAuth Tokens: Stored calendar sync connections and push notification tokens.
Data Retention & Backups
Production records are scrubbed immediately upon deletion. Encrypted cloud backup archives are automatically rotated and completely overwritten within 30 days. No user personal information is retained for marketing, training, or commercial purposes.
